Yes thats the location. Near opposite to Higgin Bothams books shop.

Its in first floor of that complex with good space. As discussed with Marry brown people, They targeted Bank employees around Simmakal area, and Shoppers of Simakkal, North & West Masi streets, Good shed street. As its surrounded by many Electronic shops, Hardware & house hold need shops.

Decent Patronage on second day when I went there. Good choice of location, As no Major restaurant in that surroundings except Bell restaurant, Dindigul Biriyani shop at Thamizh sangam road.

On my personal view, it might be a huge hit if it is opened somewhere near Junction of East & North Masi street (Near Pothys, Bhima, Jos Alukkas) or Junction of Nethaji road and North Masi street (Near Arya bhavan, GRT, Joy Alukkas). As these areas always crowded with Shoppers and foreign tourists. Added, no Major choice of restaurants available in that location except Murugan Idly kadai or Arya bhavan.

As Sundar sir said, Parking is some what difficult especially for those who comes in car. But no doubt its a better place for hang out where we can relax and enjoy eating escaping crowd and amidst shopping.

Ground floor of that Complex is going to be occupied by Samsung showroom.

Madurai Corporation ECO part Thiruparankundram. One of the Hang out destination for South Madurai people.

Really a well planned peaceful, pleasant, pollution free environment at foothills of TPK with spacious parking, people spending nice time with their family, youths having get together, tourists relaxing, Children enjoying in their play area, Musical fountain. Photographers taking snaps of newly married couples with different postures in different location treating them as Kollywood hero, heroine...(Really funny to see it ....).

Entrance Ticket for Adult costs Rs. 20 & Rs. 10 for Children.

All together good initiative by Madurai Corporation, But access to people around Thirunagar, GST road will be difficult till ROB construction at both entrance of TPK completed.

3D show on Egyptian culture is screened at the fair housing more than 200 stalls

The 16th edition of Chamber Trade Fair was inaugurated at Krishnankoil Ground near Iyer Bungalow, anew venue, here on Thursday. With the theme ‘Tourism Our Culture,’ the fair organised by Tamil Nadu Chamber of Commerce will be held till January 2.

V. R. Muthu, Managing Director of VVV and Sons Edible Oil, Virudhunagar, inaugurated the fair while A. Kathir Kamanathan, vice-chairman of Confederation of Indian Industry, Madurai Zone, presided over the inaugural function. Mr. Kathir Kamanathan lauded the efforts of the Chamber for its involvement in various development activities in Madurai. “The trade fair is not just a shopping festival for the public. It inspires and encourages traders and industrialists to exhibit their products,” he said.

R. Sundararajan, MLA, pledged his support in the future endeavours of the Chamber. R. Annadurai, MLA of Madurai South, was present.

This year, in a novel effort, the trade fair organisers have erected a replica of the Egyptian pyramid at a cost of Rs. 30 lakh. The guests watched a special 3D show on ancient Egyptian culture during the inauguration.

N. Jegatheesan, president of ‘Chamber Trade Fair 2013’ said that more than 4 lakh visitors were expected this year. More than 200 stalls had been put up, he said. S. Rethinavelu, chairman of Tamil Nadu Chamber Foundation, urged school and college students in Madurai to watch the 3D show.

There is an entry fee of Rs. 20 for the fair. Entry is free for children below 5 years. According to the organisers, three camels are expected to arrive at the fair ground on Friday to be used for fun ride for children around the pyramid replica.

KFC opening on 26th December(Wed). Now trial run is going for the owner's friends and family (as per security).
